  1. The next version of Hunter will include a setup program, for now follow the
  2. instructions below for your version of Windows.

  4. Step 1 for Windows 3.1 Installation
  5. ------------------------

  7. 1. Copy all files except COMMDLG.DLL from the distribution disk to a 
  8.    directory on your fixed disk.  For example from the DOS prompt you'd type:
  9.  
  10.    C:\WINDOWS> copy a:hunter.*
  11.    C:\WINDOWS> copy a:readme.wri
  12.  
  13.    Proceed to Step 2, 'Adding Hunter to the Program Manager'.

  19.    Copy all files from the distribution disk to a directory on your fixed
  20.    disk.  Proceed to step 2, 'Adding Hunter to the Program Manager'.

  23. Step 2.  Adding Hunter to the Program Manager
  24. ------------------------------------

  26.    Start Windows if it is not yet running.  From the Program Manager select
  27.    the program group to which you wish to add Hunter.  From the menu select
  28.    "File" and then "New".  Enter the directory, including the path, that you
  29.    used in step #1 plus HUNTER.EXE.  For example:

  31.    C:\WINDOWS\HUNTER.EXE

  33.    Click on the OK button.  If you receive an error message, check to
  34.    be sure that the path name you've entered is correct and that HUNTER.EXE
  35.    and its related files are indeed in the directory.

  38. Step 3.  Viewing the README.WRI File
  39. ------------------------------------

  41.    To get a general introduction to Hunter you can read the README.WRI
  42.    file supplied with Hunter.  From the Windows Program Manager run 'Write'
  43.    (it's usually in the Accessories program group).  Open the README.WRI 
  44.    file.  The Windows Write application is a basic word processor supplied
  45.    with Windows.  You can view the file on the screen or print it out.
